The very first doubt placed by Satan in the mind of humanity was the question, “Did God really say?” (Gen. 3:1). Eons later and the undergirding of God’s revelation to humanity is still being questioned. Critiques, accusations, and objections concerning the Word of God abound in our modern world of chaos and confusion. Our ability to “give an answer” (1 Pet. 3:15) is predicated on the fact that God has spoken (2 Tim. 3:16) and that because of that fact we stand on a firm foundation. How is it that we can know that what we have now is what the original authors wrote thousands of years ago? How can we be confident in light of so many accusations of corruption and confusion? How do we stand on the Word of God as that which is God-breathed and the sole infallible rule of practice and faith for the church today? That and more is what will be addressed in this particular session.
